Software Engineering Personal Statement Example 1

I have decided to opt for Software Engineering as my course for higher education as I am deeply interested by computers and I believe that in today's world, computers are a necessary object to have. I am highly capable in using and understanding computers and am currently studying VCE course in ICT, which I find deeply interesting. I have a high perceptive especially in the hardware and software area of computers and because of my part time work which involves repairing later model vehicles, slowly I have combined them together and now have decided to eventually take it up as my future career. I believe that doing a Software Engineering course will further my understanding in this field and will give me an advantage when I enter my career. I intend to start off at HND level and gradually progress further. I have chosen this option because I intend to learn right from the start because I believe not to do things by half

I am very hardworking, organised and I am also very confident. Despite being only Seventeen, I am well skilled in mechanics and can diagnose and repair faults a lot more accurately than those who have had experience for a many years and work in larger firms

My first realisation to the combining of the motor vehicle industry and the world of computers was during my work experience, which was completed at a Nissan dealership. There, use of computer related machinery on cars made me realise my intentions for the future, hence my current studies, and intended higher education

Education aside, I have varied interests which include, vehicle restoration, (speciality being BMW's) also socialising and going out

My eventual achievement is to start up my own firm or work for a large firm that will include what I have learnt, I am very open minded in this field for now, but will eventually come to a milestone to meet upon starting my higher education.
